Consequence of The Battle
One of the consequences of the Battle of Saratoga were people casualty. The British lost a few soldiers, but 6,000 had surrendered, with a few injured or wounded among them. The Americans had a few casualties, some of them injured and a few dead, but no one was captured by the British enemy. The Americans won an uneven battle where farmers were fighting against trained British soldiers. The news about this battle spread fast to Europe, especially when British soldiers returned home and told families and friends that they were fighting and surrendered to an army of untrained farmers.
This was the turning point for the Revolutionary War, French realized that Americans were able to fight and stand up to greater odds. The French started to believe that the Americans could win this war and they were more interested in helping them.
